Once upon a time, Joshua Phillips thought he might become a football player. By the age of six, however, the writing was already on the wall — he was stuck barracking for Wigan Athletic on the telly and in need of another career path. Fortunately, recruitment eventually came calling, and it turned out he was rather good at it.

What began as Josh’s first job out of school quickly became a successful career in recruitment. Over the past nine years, he has partnered with businesses across financial and professional services to build project teams and solve workforce challenges, earning a reputation across the UK and Europe as a trusted, results-driven consultant. Josh thrives on building businesses from the ground up. At Oliver James Associates, he helped establish the company’s presence in Switzerland, building a client base, developing a team, and growing a strong network within the project services and IT sector. Known for his honest, consultative approach, Josh focuses on understanding what clients and candidates genuinely need, creating long-term relationships that extend well beyond a single placement.
