Josh Fordham
Senior Consultant – Finance & Treasury

Born in London’s East End, Josh moved to the sunny shores of Spain aged 13, where he attended a local, Spanish school. Largely due to career opportunities, though partly to down to his inability to tan, Josh returned to London where he completed a Diploma in Electronics, before embarking on a decade-long career within Banking/Broking Operations – gaining valuable experience at BNP Paribas, J M Finn and Olivetree Financial.

When an opportunity arose to set up Olivetree’s Sydney Operations, and to further punish his ginger skin, Josh made the move to Sydney, where he went on to expand his local experience by working in Middle Office roles at Deutsche Bank and ANZ.

Often taking calls from recruiters covering him on jobs not entirely relevant to his experience, Josh saw an opportunity to apply his knowledge, experience and interpersonal skills to a new career in recruitment, where he spent 5.5 years working with a highly-respected, Sydney-based boutique firm, focusing on Accounting and Finance within Financial Services.

Attracted by their excellent reputation, Josh joined Lanson Partners in February ‘24, where he focuses on Finance & Treasury within Financial Services. Josh prioritises transparency, building trust and doing what’s best for his candidates & clients. Josh covers the Sydney market remotely from Perth (where he lives with his wife and 2 children), making frequent trips for catch-ups. He remains untanned.
