Henry Sparshott
Practice Leader – Legal, Audit, Risk & Compliance

Hailing from the South-East of England, Henry graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) in Finance and Business. After a placement year in a Financial Control role, he began his recruitment career in a specialist regulatory compliance search firm in the UK which gave him a new passion – to make a genuine contribution to the integrity of the recruitment sector. In 2016, he relocated to Sydney where he helped to develop and grow a team within his niche for a large global recruitment agency.

Henry’s curiosity and genuine passion in the legal, risk and compliance sector is matched only by his willingness to share his time and knowledge. He prides himself on treating clients and candidates well, building long-term relationships on the hallmarks of approachability, honesty, care and consistency. In 2023, he moved over to Lanson Partners as Practice Lead. This was in part thanks to his affinity with the values we live every day – doing the right thing, always playing as a team, and delivering on promises as evidenced by his support in developing the careers of his candidates and helping protect his clients mitigate their everchanging risks. When he’s not in the office trying to combat financial crime, you’ll find him spending time with his growing family and waking up early to catch the premier league football.
